Rules and Guidelines

1. Eligibility

- The program is open to individuals, students, teams, and environmental innovation enthusiasts worldwide.

- Participants may join individually or as a team.

- Each team must appoint a project leader responsible for communication and submission.

2. Project Requirements

- Submitted projects must focus on environmental protection, resource recovery, circular economy, sustainability, or environmental health.

- Projects should demonstrate creativity, innovation, and potential value in addressing real-world environmental challenges.

- Interdisciplinary approaches involving science, technology, design, artificial intelligence, or social innovation are encouraged.

3. Submission Requirements

Participants are required to submit:

- Project Overview

- Background and Problem Statement

- Proposed Solution

- Innovation Highlights

- Sustainability Impact Analysis

Additional materials such as images, videos, prototypes, research reports, software demonstrations, or other supporting documents may be included.

4. Originality and Ethics

- All submissions must be original work created by the participants.

- Plagiarism, unauthorized use of others’ work, or intellectual property infringement is strictly prohibited.

- Any external data, technologies, or references used must be properly acknowledged.

5. Evaluation Criteria

Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

- Innovation — 30%

- Environmental Impact — 25%

- Feasibility — 20%

- Sustainability Value — 15%

- Presentation and Communication — 10%

6. Fairness and Integrity

- The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify submissions that violate the rules or ethical standards.

- All evaluation processes will follow principles of fairness, transparency, and impartiality.

7. Intellectual Property

- Intellectual property rights remain with the original creators of each project.

- The organizing committee may use submitted materials for promotional and educational purposes with appropriate authorization.

8. Final Statement

By submitting a project, participants acknowledge that they have read and agreed to follow all rules and guidelines of the New Zealand Environmental Health Organization Committee.
